This past Thursday, the last week of March, Dad, Mom, Kevin, Grace and I went to the cabin. Carolyn and the rest of the girls came up on Friday. We worked hard and were able to get a lot done. The kitchen is finished except we still need to find a refrigerator and we still have to install some minor trim. Dad has all of the cabin pictures, so maybe he will post them on his blog. We also still need to hang some of the new light fixtures but that is pretty minor stuff. The cabin still needs to be furnished so keep your eyes open for bean bags and futons. We also need one queen mattress and box spring. Dad thought it would be a good idea to only have one traditional bed at the cabin in order to keep the space as open as possible. Futons can double as both a couch and a bed and don't take up much room. I think the kids will love sleeping in the new loft. It has double pad so its pretty comfortable even without a mattress. Dad also thought it would be a good idea to forgo trying to find sheets to fit the futons instead just bring your own sleeping bags. This will also help on keeping the amount of laundry to a minimum. We also need to stock the kitchen with pots and pans as well as utensils, paper plates, cups etc. We are planning on taking up the furniture in a few weeks when the snow is gone, so if you have anything to contribute to the cabin just let me know. P.S. We went to the cabin again over spring break so here are some more pictures. Just for the record Brittany did catch all three of those fish, and yes we were fishing from the boat ramp at Sheep Gulch.
